St Vincent de Paul

For this message you have from the beginning,
that we should love one another.
Little children, let us love, not in word or speech,
but in truth and action.

This year the St Vincent de Paul Society is celebrating 125 years of service to the people of Australia and New Zealand. The parish commends their good works.

Add a little hope,
add a little dignity,
add a little smile
and help change a life today.

The downturn in the economy due to
higher interest rates and higher fuel charges means
more demands are being made on the Society's resources.

PARISH LIBRARY

We have a wonderful resource in our parish with the Parish Library - it is a free service.  After recent renovations it is once again 'open for business'.

There are well stocked shelves with some excellent reading - in the past 16 years we have seen the library grow from 40 books to over 1200 books!

It's easy to borrow, just follow the instructions.

We also have some books that have been borrowed out for some time.  Could you please return them so that others may benefit from them?

Special thanks to Noreen and Barbara, the Parish Librarians.

GOING TO HOSPITAL?

Due to recent changes to the Privacy Legislation - if you would like a visit in hospital from a priest or parishioner please contact the Parish Office yourself or get a family member to do so. Thank you.

HEARING LOOP

A Hearing Loop has been installed in Sacred Heart Church that will service the whole congregation. This service operates for those who have hearing aids that have a ' T ' switch on them. A signal is transmitted to the hearing aid thorugh the church sound system and removes any external noise interference. Anyone who would like further information please contact the parish office.
