PARISH FINANCES

PARISH FINANCES - REPORT TO THE PARISH
Recently a printed financial report was distributed at all masses, showing a summary of the income and expenses of our parish for the year ended 31.12.09 and explaining the importance of the Planned Giving Programme.  ADDITIONAL COPIES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CHURCHES.

PLANNED GIVING is the main source of regular funding for our parish and its importance cannot be stressed enough.
Included with the report is a form 'Request for Envelopes or Change to Details" - all are invited to particpate in the programme according to their financial capabilities.  It would also be greatly appreciated if those already contributing to the Planned Giving would complete a new form so that parish records are up to date.
Sincere thanks to all who support Sacred Heart Parish in any way.

PARISH LIBRARY

PARISH LIBRARY

We have a wonderful resource in our Parish "St Jerome's Library" - it is a free service. The library has well stocked shelves with some excellent reading - in the past 16 years we have seen the library grow from 40 books to over 1200 books!

It's easy to borrow, just follow the instructions.

We also have some books that have been borrowed out for some time.  Could you please return them so that others may benefit from them?

MEALS ON WHEELS VOLUNTEERS

MEALS ON WHEELS:
More volunteeers - always needed!

With people moving away or retiring,
we are always in need a few more names
to add to the teams on the roster.
IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE PHONE PAT, 02 6672 3437

St Vincent de Paul

For this message you have from the beginning,
that we should love one another.
Little children, let us love, not in word or speech,
but in truth and action.

The St Vincent de Paul Society has served the people of Australia and New Zealand for over 125 years. The parish commends their good works.

Add a little hope,
add a little dignity,
add a little smile
and help change a life today.

The downturn in the economy means
more demands are being made on the Society's resources.

GOING TO HOSPITAL?

Due to recent changes to the Privacy Legislation - if you would like a visit in hospital from a priest or parishioner please contact the Parish Office yourself or get a family member to do so. Thank you.

HEARING LOOP

A Hearing Loop has been installed in Sacred Heart Church that will service the whole congregation. This service operates for those who have hearing aids that have a ' T ' switch on them. A signal is transmitted to the hearing aid through the church sound system and removes any external noise interference.
The system has recently been checked by a technician and is set to a good, medium level.  However it may also be necessary for some users to adjust the volume of their hearing aid up or down themselves.
Anyone who would like further information please contact the parish office.
